Dr. Weiss, Program Director of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioners Program at Old Dominion University. Her experience includes nineteen years as a neonatal nurse practitioner. As a nurse scientist, she is a key collaborator with NeoECHO and involved with the feasibility and efficacy research conducted to evaluate NeoECHO as a means of educating neonatal staff through the ECHO model. Other research interests include patterns of knowing used by neonatal nurses and neonatal; nurse practitioners during failure to rescue events in the neonatal intensive care unit, as well as their perceptions of these events.
