Shelly Fleiner, DNP, RNC-NIC, CCNS
Shelly Fleiner, DNP, RNC-NIC, CCNS, has worked as a NICU clinical nurse specialist for 20 years in various level III NICU settings, most recently in a large health system in Arizona. She has participated in and led performance improvement and evidence-based practice projects to advance nursing/interdisciplinary care and improve clinical outcomes. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2010 and has spoken at local, state, and national conferences on a variety of neonatal topics including NEC, whole body cooling, palliative care, CHD, neonatal pain, inhaled nitric oxide, and specific improvement initiatives. She is currently the PI for a multicenter study addressing NEC risk.
